IUP to offer EMT training
Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Division of Emergency Services Training will offer its fall emergency medical technician training program starting Tuesday.
This is a 152-hour course intended to prepare the participant to deliver pre-hospital emergency medical care. It is designed for those who want to work on an ambulance and others who may be in positions where emergency medical training would be beneficial, including nursing majors. The course is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and is approved by the Veterans Administration for benefits.
The class will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. and nine Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $600, which includes the textbook.
Registration is due immediately and must include a $100 nonrefundable deposit.
Late registrations will be accepted if space is available.
