Life Chain event planned

on September 27, 2013 10:49 AM

Life Chain will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Oct. 6 in downtown Indiana.

This show of support for the unborn takes place simultaneously in 1,800 locations in 1,500 cities across the U.S. Supporters will pick up signs at Philadelphia and Eighth streets and then line both sides of Philadelphia Street, holding pro-life messages to demonstrate their opposition to abortion and their commitment to the fact that all life is created by God and should be respected.

Everyone is welcome to participate, and participants are asked not to park on Philadelphia Street so passers-by will have unobstructed views of the signs. There will be an hour of quiet prayer and reflection.

Pictured, from left, are members of the DeHaven family who will participate: Shae, 9; Olivia, 6; mother Jeanine; and Micaylee, 11. Father Michael was absent. For more information, call Elinor Carson at (724) 463-9418.
