on June 15, 2013 10:30 AM

Seniors for Safe Driving will offer classes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 24, July 29 and Aug. 26 at St. Andrew’s Village, White Township.

Seniors for Safe Driving presents highway safety education programs for seniors who are 55 and older.

The programs are certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The successful completion of the program makes senior drivers eligible for a 5 percent discount on their automobile insurance premiums, across the board, for a period of three years. Receiving this discount is mandated by state law.

If you have never participated in a Senior Driver Program before, you must attend a two-day class. To qualify for a one-day program, you must have attended a senior driving program in the past.
