The Rev. Dr. Ann C. Miner has accepted a call to pastor two churches in southeastern Wyoming.
Her last Sunday preaching in the pulpit of Center Presbyterian Church of Creekside will be on July 27, where worship starts at 11:15 a.m.
Based on a parable Jesus told, the sermon will be: “Are You a Seed or a Weed in God’s Kingdom?” Anyone who wants to celebrate Pastor Ann’s 5 1/2-year ministry at the church is invited to break bread together at Hoss’s Restaurant after worship concludes.
Prayers for her upcoming ministry at Guernsey and Fort Laramie Presbyterian Churches in Wyoming are appreciated.
Fundraiser car wash
A fundraiser car wash for the Seeds of Faith Christian Academy’s class of 2015 will be held until 2 p.m. today at Robert and Bev’s Truck Accessory Center, 1194 Wayne Ave., White Township.
There will also be a bake sale and hot dogs available for purchase.
Family Fun Day
There will be a free community Family Fun Day until 2 p.m. today across from Rairigh Funeral Home in Hillsdale. The day is sponsored by Hillsdale Assembly of God. There will be various events, including a bounce house and children’s games, as well as free hot dogs, snow cones and cotton candy.
The Hopewell Methodist Church is having its annual chicken barbecue today. Tickets are available for either 4:30 or 6 p.m. Eat in or take out.
An adult meal consists of half a chicken, baked potato, green beans, coleslaw, roll and dessert. The children’s meal is a leg/thigh, baked potato, green beans, coleslaw, roll and dessert. A ham and holupki dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, corner of Tanoma Road and Route 286, Rayne Township.
The cost is $10 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for ages 4 and younger. Takeout is available. The public is welcome.
CHERRY TREE — The Lighthouse, Morning Star Ministries, will hold a Kidz Kamp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through July 27 at the church, 4886 Route 240, Cherry Tree.
The theme is “Bible Olympics — Come Join a Sports Team!” There will be Bible lessons, music, games, free daily lunches and more.

BURNSIDE — A camp meeting with evangelist Nick Wilson will be held Friday through Aug. 1 at the Church of God Campground, Route 219, Burnside. Services will be held daily at 10:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
There will also be children’s and youth programs. Wilson is pastor of the First Church of God in Kittanning, where he resides with his wife, Tiffany. He studied music at Edinboro University before answering God’s call to ministry. He published his first book, “The Culture of God’s Kingdom,” in January of 2013.

Chicken and halushki dinner
CLYMER — St. Anne’s Byzantine Catholic Church will hold its annual grilled chicken and halushki (cabbage and homemade dumplings) dinner beginning at 11 a.m. July 26 in the parking lot at the church, 360 Franklin St., Clymer.
The dinner is takeout only and will continue until sold out. The cost is $10 per meal and includes vegetable, baked beans, roll and dessert. All are welcome.
Love Basket food drive
The Love Basket, a nonprofit, all volunteer emergency food assistance program for Indiana County, is holding a midyear church food drive to restock their shelves.
Area churches and individuals are invited to participate during the weekend of July 26 and 27 by collecting nonperishable food items or monetary donations.
Items will then be delivered between noon and 3 p.m. July 27 to the Love Basket Warehouse in the Robertshaw Building on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania campus. Alternate arrangements can be made as necessary.

The Greens in concert
HOMER CITY — The Greens, of Fulton, N.Y., will present a Christian music concert at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 27 at the Homer City Church of the Nazarene, 3513 Route 119 South, Homer City.
The vocal duo is composed of Les Green and his wife, Linda.
PENN RUN — An outdoor concert will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. July 27 in the picnic pavilion at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run.
The Masters will perform at 3 p.m. A free picnic supper will be held at 4:45 p.m. Faithful Friends will perform at 5:30 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Mega sports camp
Indiana Alliance Church will offer a mega sports camp from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 4 to 8 at the White Township Recreation Center, along East Pike, White Township.

CHERRY TREE — A gently used school clothing donation drive is currently accepting donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Kinport Assembly of God, 5658 Route 240, between Uniontown and Cookport.
All donated clothing will be available during the Back to School Giveaway Aug. 9. School supplies will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 9. Registration begins at 9 a.m. No income information is taken. Children must be present and accompanied by an adult to receive new items and supplies.
Community praise service
BLAIRSVILLE — Churches of Blairsville come together at 6 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month to join in a time of worshipping God with musical praise. On Aug. 10, the United Presbyterian Church of Blairsville, 137 N. Walnut St., will host the service.

ARMAGH — The second annual Back-to-School Blowout will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 16 at Valley Grace Brethren Church, at Routes 56 and 22, Armagh.
Teachers from the United School District, along with volunteers from the Women of Faith group of Valley Grace Brethren Church, have planned the event as a way to reach out to the children of the community and help them start the school year right.
The three rules for this free event are: children must be present to participate; children must be accompanied by an adult, regardless of age; and the event is not income-based. It is open to all school-age children.
There will also be a bake sale, with proceeds going to help children in need throughout the school year.

DAYTON — Sunshine Preschool is now taking registration for fall semester classes. The preschool is held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the lower level of Dayton United Methodist Church.
