The Indiana County Office of Planning and Development, in conjunction with Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana Borough and White Township, invites members of the community to attend the final plans display for the Indiana Multi-modal Corridor/Hoodlebug Trail Extension on Thursday. This open house-style event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. in conference rooms 6 and 7 of the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex, 711 Pratt Drive.
The multi-modal corridor is a shared bike/pedestrian/vehicle trail starting at Rose Street and ending at South Eighth and Church streets. The goal of the project is to provide members of the community with a safe trail that adds connectivity within the borough of Indiana and uses a shared trail idea for multiple forms of transportation.
At the open house, there will be multiple stations displaying design elements of the trail, including signage, bike racks, bike repair stations, posts, street paints, trailhead structures and more.
