BLAIRSVILLE — A central Indiana County woman was killed at 9:28 p.m. Friday when the car she was driving hit a utility pole along South Walnut Street near Old Main Street, officials said today.

Christina Roberson, 50, of Laurel Road, Armstrong Township, died of blunt force injuries to the head, neck and chest, the Indiana County coroner’s office reported.

Blairsville Borough police investigated the crash but released no information today.

The Indiana County 911 center dispatched the Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments and Citizens’ Ambulance Service to the scene at 9:31 p.m., according to the emergency management website.

Friday's wreck is the fourth traffic fatality on Indiana County roadways this year, according to records kept by the Gazette.
