BOY OF THE MONTH: Bo Putt
On Jan. 6, the Indiana Optimist Club selected Bo Putt as the 673rd Boy of the Month for January.
Bo, 18, is the son of Leroy and Marcie Putt, of Indiana, and the brother of Ryan.
He is a member of St. Thomas More University Church, where he participated in youth ministry.
Bo is a senior at Indiana Area Senior High School, where he is a member of the varsity golf and baseball teams. He is a section leader for marching band and plays in the jazz band and wind ensemble. Bo is also a member of the Handball Club and is a high honors student.
He participated in the IUP Jazz Festival and All State Music Conference in Hershey. In the summer, he is employed part time with Yellow Creek Trout Club. In his spare time, Bo is a volunteer instructor for the Indiana Area Recreation Youth Baseball League, Youth Bowling and participates in Senior Legion Baseball. He is a member of the VFW Golf Course and enjoys hunting and playing sports with friends and family.
Bo enjoys reading PA Game News and Sports Illustrated. His favorite things to watch on television are ESPN and 48 Hour Mystery. His favorite subjects in school are economics, social studies and band.
He plans to attend Duquesne University or Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Eberly College of Business to be a finance major.
