ENGAGEMENT: Heather Lorenc and Patrick Finn

Mark and Kathleen Lorenc, of Endwell, N.Y., announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Kathleen Lorenc, M.D., to Patrick John Finn, son of John and Sharon Finn, of Wooster, Ohio.

Lorenc is a 2003 graduate of Maine Endwell Senior High School. She continued her education at Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 2007 from the Schreyer Honors College with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in dance. After college, Lorenc attended the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, N.Y., and graduated in the class of 2011. She recently completed her residency program in family medicine at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. Lorenc has accepted a position on the faculty at Upstate Medical University, starting this fall.

Finn graduated from Wooster High School in 2001. He then attended Baldwin Wallace College Conservancy of Music, in Berea, Ohio, graduating in 2005. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in music. Finn is employed as a project manager in the field of theatrical rigging and equipment.

Finn is the grandson of Jean Quinn, of Elderton, and the late Jack Quinn.

The couple became engaged on the beach at sunset while vacationing at Diamond Beach, Wildwood Crest, N.J., last summer. In July the couple will relocate to Syracuse.

A wedding is planned for Nov. 1 in Geneva, N.Y., at Our Lady of Peace Parish: St. Stephen Church, with an evening reception to follow at The Belhurst Castle on Seneca Lake.
