SENIOR OF THE MONTH: Mackenzie Livingston
Mackenzie Livingston was selected as the Blairsville High School Indiana Kiwanis Club Senior of the Month for April.
She is the daughter of Stacy and Robin Livingston, of Blairsville.
Mackenzie has participated in basketball for four years, cross country for three, track and softball for two and volleyball for one. She was also a member of the girls’ basketball team that broke the school record for victories and won Blairsville’s first District 6 championship. She was the fifth Bobcat to score 1,000 career points. Also, she earned all-state third-team honors and was named the Gazette’s Player of the Year. In cross country, she was a state qualifier. For track, she holds school records in the mile and two-mile runs.
She has been a member of Remembering Adam for six years and Future Business Leaders of America for one year. Also, she was a state qualifier for FBLA, placing first at the regional level. She has been a class officer throughout her high school career. She has volunteered at all the Blairsville “Clean-Up Days” and she volunteered at her class auction. She was involved with the Ski and Recycling clubs for one year. She has made the honor roll and high honor roll throughout her high school career. She also won the award for “Gym Student of the Year.”
Mackenzies plans to attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania to major in physical therapy and play basketball for the Crimson Hawks.
