WEDDING: Kathryn McDonald and Jeffrey Wetzel
Kathryn Jean McDonald and Jeffrey Alan Wetzel were united in marriage on June 15, 2013, at Duquesne University Chapel, Pittsburgh, with the Rev. Raymond French officiating.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Kathryn is the daughter of James and Nancy McDonald, of Clarksburg. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. She is a dental hygienist for Dr. Mark Shaw in Pleasant Hills.
Jeffrey is the son of Frederick and Barbara Wetzel, of Shaler. He is a graduate of Duquesne University with dual degrees in finance and accounting. Jeff is employed by U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh.
The matron of honor was Brandy Delledonne. Bridesmaids were Nadine Fails; Lori Steinhoff; Jennifer Bissell; Kelly Battista, sister of the groom; and Lauren Van Sicklin. Samantha Battista, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
The best man was James Eppinger. Groomsmen were Michael McDonald, brother of the bride; James Spagnolo; Ryan Anthony; Mark Hahn; and Michael Battista, brother-in-law of the groom. Jacob Battista, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
Scriptures were read by Natalie Smith, cousin of the bride; Heather Hannah, cousin of the bride; and Amanda Vlcek.
Carissa Traill and Maria Garbin offered the gifts, and guests were greeted by Mackenzie Koshurba, all cousins of the bride.
The reception was held at the Grand Hall at the Priory, Pittsburgh.
Katie and Jeff honeymooned in Aruba for two weeks and reside in Shaler.
