Wolves’ pair earn honors

NuMINE — West Shamokin High School Seniors Mick Galbraith and Victoria Lowry have been named Ding-A-Lings Sports Club scholar-athletes of the month.

Galbraith, who won the Award for April, is the son of Tucker and Missy Galbraith of New Bethlehem. He is a captain on the West Shamokin baseball team and has been involved in the 4-H program since he was 7 years old. He plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.

Lowry was named scholar-athlete of the month for May. She is the daughter of Donald and Bonnie Lowry of Kittanning. She has participated in softball and cheerleading.

Lowry is a member of the Leo Club, National Honor Society, student council. She is also a student ambassador and coaches youth cheerleading. She will also attend Pitt Johnstown.
