Arctic freeze to release grip on area

on January 30, 2014 8:35 AM

It maybe the last of the frigid mornings, but hold the phone — there’s trouble in River City. A river of water, that is, gushing from a broken pipeline at Philadelphia and 13th streets in Indiana this morning.

While utility crews rushed out to make repairs, most others in the area kept a normal schedule this morning. All schools are open and running on time.

AccuWeather has a high of 28 in the forecast today, then 35 tomorrow and 45 on Saturday. Follow the forecast on The Indiana Gazette Online.
