ARIN agrees on contract for director
The directors of ARIN Intermediate Unit 28 approved and executed an employment contract for new executive director James J. Wagner on Tuesday.
The four-year agreement includes an annual base salary of $120,000 and runs Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 31, 2017. Wagner will replace longtime director Dr. Robert Coad Jr., who has filled ARIN IU 28’s top executive slot for 16 years. For about a decade and a half prior, Coad served in various other roles at the intermediate unit.
The public school agency serves 11 school districts in Armstrong and Indiana counties, as well as the counties’ technology centers, private schools and community agencies.
Wagner comes to ARIN IU 28 from Seneca Highlands Intermediate Unit 9 in Smethport, McKean County, where he works as director of special education.
