The Indiana County Department of Human Services is sponsoring a children’s book drive through Aug. 20.

The department will be collecting new or gently used books to help enable children to gain the literacy skills they need.

The books being requested are for all ages, but specifically up to age 17. The books will be presented to agencies that work with children in Indiana County such as Family Promise of Indiana County and The CARE Center of Indiana County.

Books can be dropped off at the Indiana County Department of Human Services, 300 Indian Springs Road, Suite 203, Indiana, PA 15701, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or at the Indiana County YMCA and at the Back to School Bash in Indiana on Aug. 16.
