Children enjoy activities at annual Kids Kamp
CHERRY TREE — The Lighthouse Morning Star Ministries, 4886 Route 240, Cherry Tree, held its annual Kids Kamp July 22 to 26 with the theme “Breaking Free.”
Kids Kamp was directed by Renea Duke and Pastor Wilda Brown. There were 127 children and 45 adult teachers and workers in attendance. There were Bible lessons on breaking free from fear, lying and bullying other children.
There were many sports including volleyball, basketball, football, cheerleading and kickball.
On the final day, Tom and Toby Dishong brought a petting farm with many different animals including a puppy and cat kennel.
Pastor Ken Brown took each individual class on a hayride. During the Sunday evening program, there were songs and Scripture by each class. Children were awarded medals for the week and the adult teachers and workers received gifts from Duke. The teachers also presented gifts to Duke and Pastor Wilda Brown.
Pastors Ken and Wilda Brown thank everyone that worked hard to make the camp a success, including the cooks.
