Churches plan Vacation Bible schools

The following area churches have scheduled Vacation Bible School:

• Calvary Bible Church. July 21 to 25, 6 to 8:30 p.m., at the parsonage in Hillsdale. Children ages 4 to 13 are invited to explore God’s Wonderful Word, the Bible, in Vacation Bible School. Registering ahead of time is encouraged. To register, call (814) 743-5448.

• First Lutheran Church, Rural Valley. Community Vacation Bible School with Rural Valley United Methodist Church and NuValley Presbyterian Church. “Christmas in July,” July 14 to 16, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at NuValley Presbyterian Church. Ages 4 and older. Bible story time, games, music, crafts and snacks. To register, email Jaci Parks, director, at or call (724) 783-6561.

• Kenwood Church of the Nazarene, Route 580. “Gangway to Galilee,” July 7 to 11, 6:30 p.m. Age 4 through teens. “Seashore, Big Catch, Splash and Sink or Swim.” (724) 254-9368.

• Lutherlyn Day Camp, July 13 to 18, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Centennial Hall, 110 State St., Saxonburg. Grades 1 through 5. There will be Bible study, games, nature activities, crafts, songs, puppets, stories, field trips, campfire and more. A magician show will be held July 17. Family meet and greet will be held July 13 at 7:30 p.m. Registration is $55 for the first child and $40 for a sibling. Scholarships are available. • Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Church Road. “Leadership by Child Evangelism Fellowship,” July 21 to 25, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Bible lessons, games, songs, snacks and crafts. Register by July 14. (724) 465-2439.

• Plumville Presbyterian Church. “Christmas in July,” July 28 to Aug. 1, 6 to 8 p.m. Closing program Aug. 1. There will be Bible stories, crafts, games and music. Age 4 through completion of grade 6. Call Sandy Gandolfi at (724) 397-2727.

• Victory Baptist Church, 139 E. Wiley St., Homer City. “Bug Zone: Transformed by Our Big God,” July 7 to 11, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Bible stories, songs, crafts, horse rides, snacks and a fun fest. Transportation is available for those needing a ride. Call (724) 479-3494.
