BLAIRSVILLE — The Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, on Route 22, 6 miles east of Blairsville, is hosting Pastor Walter Marr, of Elderton, who will present a first-person characterization of Abraham Lincoln at the 8:30 a.m. Sunday service. Everyone is invited to attend this special Father’s Day service.
Father’s Day dinners
Christ Our Savior Orthodox Church, corner of Tanoma Road and Route 286 East, Rayne Township, will hold a Father’s Day roast beef and holupki dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $10 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12 and free for children ages 4 and younger. The public is welcome.

ROBINSON — The Helping Hands of Robinson Evangelical United Methodist Church will hold a turkey dinner on Father’s Day, Sunday, in the church fellowship hall at 332 Mary St., Robinson.
The cost is $8 for adults and teens, $3 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children ages 4 and younger. Takeout is available.
NORTHERN CAMBRIA — The Indiana/Cambria County Hymn and Gospel Sing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 1006 Chestnut Ave., Northern Cambria. Come to sing, come to listen. Everyone is welcome.
BLAIRSVILLE — Blairsville Alliance Church, 135 E. Burrell St., Blairsville, will host international worker Ms. Byler at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Byler has been working in Spain for 17 years with the last five dedicated to the fight against human trafficking and sexual exploitation.
Byler will present her personal testimony and talk about the rise of human trafficking in Spain and throughout Europe. The event is open to the public and there is no cost to attend. Light refreshments will follow Byler’s presentation. For more information, call the church at (724) 459-7770.
KITTANNING — Harvest Community Church is offering a CPR training class from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and July 17 at the Kittanning Campus, 143 Reed Road, Kittanning. Those attending will receive a free CPR kit. Register at www.harvestpa.org. Classes are open to all.
SAXONBURG — A two-day yard sale benefiting Lutherlyn Day Camp will be held rain or shine from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and June 21 in Centennial Hall at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 110 State St., Saxonburg.
Vendors can sell their items for $10 a table. Donations also are being accepted (no electronics). For tables, contact Gayle Gundlach at (724) 352-4205 by Wednesday. Setup will take place Thursday.
The Community Day Camp will be held July 13 to 18 at St. Luke’s church.
Women’s fellowship dinner
PENN RUN — The Penn Run Christian Outreach Center, 75 Grace Center Road, Penn Run, will hold a women’s fellowship dinner at 5 p.m., June 21.
Tickets are $10 each and are available at the Penn Run Christian Outreach Center. Entr￩e choices are baked chicken or steak. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Anyone interested must make a reservation by today by calling (724) 349-6973 or (814) 743-5491.

ARMAGH — The second annual Back-to-School Blowout will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 16 at Valley Grace Brethren Church, at Routes 56 and 22, Armagh.
Teachers from the United School District, along with volunteers from the Women of Faith group of Valley Grace Brethren Church, have planned the event as a way to reach out to the children of the community and help them start the school year right.
The three rules for this free event are: children must be present to participate; children must be accompanied by and adult, regardless of age; and the event is not income-based.
It is open to all school-age children.
There will also be a bake sale, with proceeds going to help children in need throughout the school year.
