Community events planned
TEE TIME: The Chestnut Ridge Women’s golf league held play on Thursday. The game of the day was point contest. De Iezzi won the 50/50, and Martha Miller won the event. De Iezzi was the chairwoman for the day.
Remember to sign up for Charter Member Day. A sheet is posted in the ladies locker room.
Starting time is 9 a.m. Players should arrive by 8:30 a.m.
REUNION: The Laura Lamar High School 50th class reunion will be held at the Indiana Country Club on Sept. 20. The deadline to RSVP has been extended to Sept. 5. All members of the class of 1964 are encouraged to attend.
CRAFT SHOWS: The Penn Run Christian Outreach Center will hold a holiday home and craft show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at the center, 75 Grace Church Road, Penn Run.
Home party vendors such as Mary Kay, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, as well as crafters, are needed for the show. Spaces range in cost from $10 to $20.
A silent auction and pie auction will also be held. Homemade soups and baked goods will also be available.

The Trinity Presbyterian Church Women’s Association will hold a vendor and craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8 at the church, 18 Clarksburg Road, Clarksburg.
Vendors will be limited to one table per business. Crafters are welcome. Tables will be $15 with additional tables for $10 each. Vendors and crafters are requested to give an item valued between $15 and $25 for the ticket raffle to be conducted. Tables and chairs will be provided for each vendor/crafter. The deadline to apply for space is Oct. 18.
Homemade soups, sandwiches, desserts, soft drinks, coffee and water will be available.
