Decathlon set for June 13

The fifth annual Downtown Decathlon benefiting the Lucy Donnelly Memorial Fund will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on June 13.

A pre-party and event check-in will be from 5 to 6 p.m. at Twisted Jimmy’s. The shotgun start will be at 6 p.m. at Twisted Jimmy’s, Donatellos, Nap’s Cucina Mia, Wolfie’s Bar & Club, Al Patti’s Bar and Grill, Brunzies, Boomerang’s Bar and Grill, Spaghetti Benders, The Coney and HB Culpeppers.

The decathlon is open to teams of four to eight people, 21 and older. Teams earn points based on their performance in decathlon events, including ladder golf, corn hole and trivia. The winning team will receive dinner for eight at Nap’s Cucina Mia and will be the grand marshals in the “It’s a Wonderful Life” parade on Nov. 21.

Proceeds go toward the installation and maintenance of the lights outlining buildings in the downtown area and community holiday celebrations, including parades, crafts, hayrides and roasting marshmallows.
