David Karcher filled out a ballot this morning at the Mack Park pavilion, which hosts the polling place for White Township 2, the county’s biggest precinct.

There are about 1,400 registered voters in the precinct, according to Robin Maryai, chief clerk for Indiana County. Karcher was first in line. Polls are open today until 8 p.m.

Chief Photographer Tom Peel has been photographing events in the county since 1966. He started with the Gazette while in high school and then came on board full-time in 1969.
