ESL executive honored with award
Anngela Chapman, vice president of operations for Environmental Service Laboratories Inc., was honored recently with the Pittsburgh Business Times Women in Business Award.
Twenty-five female award honorees were selected by the Pittsburgh Business Times magazine and honored at the Omni William Penn Hotel in Pittsburgh on March 13.
The women work in all areas of the southwestern Pennsylvania economy.
They are also helpers, mentoring other women or assisting small-business growth. They are actively involved in their communities as well. It is a group of people who clearly have a fondness and respect for the region, and are determined to leave a lasting impression on it.
Chapman, of Kittanning, has worked for ESL since 2006. She possesses integrity, dedication, magnanimity, humility, openness, fairness and assertiveness, which enhance her leadership abilities, according to the magazine.
Further, it says, she has demonstrated dedication to the field in which she serves and to ESL. She has assisted in leading the company on a path of continued success and growth contributing toward recent achievements such as NELAP accreditation, which Chapman has obtained for the laboratory and has allowed ESL to expand nationally as opposed to only being permitted to work in Pennsylvania.
