Farming fuels Indiana County economy

Farming has always been a labor-intensive trade, as can be seen in this photo where three teams of horses are each pulling a single-blade plow in the early 20th century.

In Indiana County, as in other parts of Pennsylvania, farming today is the No. 1 industry followed by tourism, according to Indiana County historian John Busovicki, of Clymer, who submitted this photo. (Submitted photo)
