on May 23, 2014 10:44 AM

Family, friends and loved ones will hold an event on June 7 to raise money for the medical and funeral expenses of Kent “Dink” Smith, who was among the five people killed in a two-car accident April 16 on Route 156 in Armstrong County.

Donations will also be accepted for Harley, Smith’s son.

Along with a hearty dinner (including a pig roast and more), a 50/50 raffle and an auction will also be held at Varner’s Luckenbach Park. The entertainment includes horseshoes, disc golf, fishing and a live band. The event will begin at 1 p.m.

Organizers say help of any size is greatly appreciated.
