Funeral home owner honored for service

Jennifer Bauer Eroh, president of Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., was honored for 50 years of membership with Selected Independent Funeral Homes.

“Fifty years of membership is an important milestone and I’m honored to be recognized on behalf of our business,” Eroh said in a release. “Three generations of my family have been committed to serving our community with compassion, dignity and respect, and I look forward to continuing our legacy of exceptional care for years to come.”

Eroh was honored at the 95th annual meeting of Selected Independent Funeral Homes in Austin, Texas, in mid-October.

Bauer Funeral Home in Kittanning joined the organization in 1963 under Eroh’s grandfather, Amberson C. Bauer. Eroh was presented with a plaque, and a video tribute highlighting the funeral home’s history was shown at the meeting.

Bauer Funeral Homes is a family-owned and -operated firm that has been caring for area families since 1947.

With locations in Kittanning, Elderton, Dayton, Petrolia and Rimersburg, the Bauer family and staff are dedicated to offering the finest funeral service with attention to compassion, dignity and respect.
