Mary Neal, of Homer City, donated $2,500 to Birdie’s Closet at Indiana Regional Medical Center on Friday after being selected a winner in “America’s Farmers Grow Communities,” sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.

In 1,271 eligible counties in 39 states, farmers could sign up for the chance to win a donation for their favorite community nonprofit.
