The library Awards dinner was recently held. Major contributions are recognized annually and three awards were given from the Indiana Free Library.

The Amicus Libri Award (Friend of the Library) was given to the Order of the Eagles as the largest donor for 2012, the Outstanding Service Award was given to the officers of the Indiana County Reading Council for annual contributions for Literacy Day, and the Library Leadership Award was conferred on Francisco Alarcon, who is now completing his ninth year of service to the board as longstanding treasurer.
