Homecoming acts announced for KCAC
The Entertainment Network and Black Emphasis Committee are bringing American rappers Machine Gun Kelly, Pusha-T and ScHoolBoy Q to the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex Oct. 3 to kick off IUP’s homecoming weekend.
Tickets will go on sale today at noon. Tickets can be purchased online at www.kovalchickcomplex.com, by phone at (800) 298-4200 and in person at the Kovalchick Complex box office.
Valid I-Card holders can also purchase tickets in person at the Hadley Union Building box office. Ticket prices are $10 for students with a valid I-card and $27 for the general public. All tickets are general admission.
Please note that tickets to the originally billed A$AP Rocky concert will not be honored at the gate. Patrons must purchase a new, reduced-price ticket to attend this concert.
Those who bought an A$AP Rocky ticket may get a refund from the point of purchase.
Machine Gun Kelly is signed to Bad Boy and Interscope Records and was named the Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2011 by MTV.
He also won the MTVu Breaking Woodie award in March 2012 and was featured on the cover of magazine XXL as part of its annual “Top 10 Freshmen List” of up-and-coming rappers.
Pusha-T is signed to GOOD Music and is the co-founder and co-CEO of Re-Up Records.
He is also one half of the hip-hop duo Clipse. Pusha-T, active in the industry since 1992, has released a breakthrough mix tape, titled “Fear of God,” and plans to release his debut solo album, “My Name Is My Name,” on Oct. 8.
ScHoolBoy Q is signed to Top Dawg Entertainment and Interscope Records and is also part of a West Coast hip-hop group, Black Hippy, with Kendrick Lamar.
He has released two popular mix tapes and two independent albums, and will release his upcoming first major studio album, “Oxymoron,” in the latter part of 2013.
