Patricia Streams-Warman, Indiana County recorder of deeds, register of wills and clerk of the Orphans’ Court, has announced that she is seeking the Republican nomination for a sixth term in that office.

Streams-Warman had served as county auditor for six years and worked as a clerk in the register and recorder’s office under Donald B. Shank.

Under Streams-Warman, the recorder’s office now has free Internet access to land documents dating to 1945. She is continuing to scan all records since 1803.

In 2012, she worked with the Veterans Affairs Office and the county commissioners to offer veterans a discount card for local businesses.

She said she is proud to be able to give a little something back to the men and women who served the people of Indiana County.

She belongs to the Pennsylvania Recorder of Deeds Association where she served as president and is currently president of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Elected Officials. She also participates in the Register of Wills/Clerk of the Orphans’ Court Association.

Streams-Warman is an active member of Graystone Presbyterian Church, where she plays in the hand bell choir, and the participatory board for Cambria-Rowe Business College. She works with the Reach to Recovery Program and volunteers at St. Andrew’s Village. She is a member of the Republican Committee and is past president of the Indiana Council of Republican Women.

A lifelong resident of Indiana County, she is married to Scott Warman and has two children, Jennifer Wainscott and Matthew Streams, and four grandchildren.

“It has been my privilege to serve the people of Indiana County in this capacity,” she said in a release. “I look forward to providing the most efficient, accurate and accessible records possible.”
