INDIANA: Autism Support Program to be established
The Indiana school board agreed Monday to begin development of an Autism Support Program, a program piloted this past school year in the Penns Manor School District.
The program will establish classes targeted towards autistic children in Indiana County through the Armstrong-Indiana Intermediate Unit. Enrollment would be limited to eight students.
Classes will most likely begin in October, according to Superintendent Dale Kirsch.
ARIN will provide necessary training to Indiana teachers who later will take part in the program.
