Indiana Free Library offers free programs
The Indiana Free Library is offering the following free programs:
• Book Babies, 10:30 a.m.: “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” Lots of new rhymes and finger plays about insects will be presented after the timeless tale of a hungry caterpillar. For little ones from birth to 18 months. (Children’s department)
• Pins and Patches Quilting Group, 1-3 p.m.: Beginners and experienced quilters welcome. No experience necessary. Refreshments provided. (Community room)
• Thursdays 101, 2-3 p.m.: “Get Your Email On!” It seems that you can’t do anything without an email address these days, from activating your Sheetz card to signing up for health care. To help out, Thursdays 101 is offering a beginners email class for you to create and learn how to use your email. To reserve your spot, please sign up at the circulation desk. (Community room)
Elementary School Age Program, 11-11:30 a.m.: Students in the area have no school on Nov. 11 because it is Veterans Day. Many young people are not familiar with the origin of this special day of remembrance, so a discussion will be held on how Armistice Day evolved into Veterans Day. The award-winning book “The Wall” by Eve Bunting will also be read. (Children’s department)
The Indiana Free Library is at Ninth and Philadelphia streets. All programs are free and open to the public. Visit www.indianafreelibrary.com for updates, or call (724) 465-8841.
