Ray Winstead, of Indiana, had a female white-breasted nuthatch eating out of his hand Monday at Blue Spruce Park.

You can find Winstead, retired after 37 years in the Indiana University of Pennsylvania biology department, at the park most days taking care of his fine feathered friends.  (Tom Peel/Gazette photo)
