Cornerstone Worship Center will be celebrating its 29th anniversary on Sunday at its 8:30 and 10 a.m. services.

On Sunday, Nov. 4, 1984, Cornerstone Worship Center was founded by Pastor Paul and Claudia Price at the Indiana County YMCA activities building.

“From a humble beginning with only nine people present the church started that would impact Indiana County and the world,” Pastor Price said.

The early years were a foundational time. The next few years were very trying times.

Over the first seven years, the church’s meeting place changed seven times.

On Wednesday, Aug. 23, 1989, Cornerstone Worship Center purchased a 5-acre tract of land adjacent to the proposed 422 bypass on the west side of Indiana for its permanent place of worship.

On Sunday, June 18, 1995, groundbreaking was held to start the construction process.

Pastor Paul Price invites the public to attend the anniversary services.
