Man sentenced to prison in sexual assault
An Indiana area man has been ordered to serve up to six years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a woman last year in Indiana.
Rory Green, 34, of Byron Court, White Township, was ordered this month to serve nine months to four years in the state prison system for a felony count of criminal trespass, followed by 11 months to two years for a misdemeanor count of indecent assault, and in an unrelated case was ordered to concurrently serve 48 hours to six months in Indiana County Jail for driving under the influence. Under terms of Megan’s Law, Green was ordered to register his address with state police annually for 15 years following his release from prison. Green also was assessed a total of $3,823.61 in fines, court costs and restitution on the charges.
Indiana Borough police charged that Green raped a woman June 15, 2013, in an apartment in the 500 block of Philadelphia Street.
In a plea agreement, felony charges of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and sexual assault were not prosecuted. Prosecutors also set aside four summary traffic charges filed against Green along with the DUI charge, in connection with a traffic stop Sept. 1 at Acorn Street and West Point Circle, White Township.
