MARION CENTER: Coordinators appointed by school board
MARION CENTER — Personnel actions highlighted the Marion Center Area School District directors’ voting session Monday.
The directors appointed Scott Peterson and Robert Weiss as computer science coordinators, at salaries of $964 each.
Cally Shouse was hired as a secondary chemistry teacher, at a salary of $41,875.
The directors approved supplemental contracts, as assistant track and field coaches, with Nicole Dann-Payne and Luke Sitosky, for $2,500 each, and with Mary Ann Wheeler for $2,650.
Also approved were supplemental contracts with John Bomboy as the athletic director, for $5,860, and with Don Seanor as the assistant athletic director, for $3,350.
Meggan George’s resignation as the head swim coach was accepted.
Kacy Crowley, Tanya Dinger and Ursula Friedel (a registered nurse) were added to the professional substitute list. In other action, the directors recognized the recently organized Ski Club as a student organization for high school students and approved a constitution for the club.
Following discussions at last week’s meeting, the board agreed to replace the theatrical control console that controls programmed lighting for the high school auditorium stage. The new console will be purchased from Pittsburgh Stage for $6,273.
