Lauren Woodburnand Brooke Fairman were recently presented with book scholarships from the Mahoning Medical Center.

The scholarships are presented each year to graduating seniors of Marion Center Area High School who plan to continue their education in a health-related field, and are given in memory of James C. Leasure, who was a founding member and the first president of the medical center’s planning committee.

Woodburn plans to attend St. Francis University and study health sciences with an emphasis on physical therapy, and Fairman will attend Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D., where she will study pharmacy.
