The Park Inn will again be a presenting partner as the Lively Arts brings the Broadway tour of the Tony Award-winning musical “Jersey Boys” to Indiana this coming season.

The engagement will be part of the 2017-18 Ovations! season, Indiana’s premier performance series that includes touring artists and productions from across the globe.

“We are thrilled to be a part of bringing this incredible musical performance to IUP Lively Arts. It’s important to us that we’re involved in our community; and that, as an Indiana business, we support the outstanding programs offered by IUP,” said Angela Kellar, general manager at Park Inn by Radisson Indiana.

Michael Hood, dean of Fine Arts at IUP, is equally thrilled. “The Park Inn has been a supporter of the Lively Arts since the Ovations! season first started. They were the primary reason we were able to bring ‘Cinderella’ to Indiana last year, and their support for next season’s ‘Jersey Boys’ goes a long way in making that event and the other dozen acts on the Ovations! season possible. We are so fortunate to have Park Inn as part of our community, a business that understands how much the arts contribute to our quality of life.”

This Best Musical Tony, Grammy and Olivier award-winning Broadway hit is driven by the true story of Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Seasons. The story follows four blue-collar kids — Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi — and how they became one of the greatest successes in pop music history. They wrote their own songs and sold 175 million records worldwide — all before they were 30. The show contains strong language.

The one-time performance of Jersey Boys will be presented Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium of the IUP Performing Arts Center. Subscriptions will be available soon with information posted on the Lively Arts website at Order forms will be available by early July, with single tickets for “Jersey Boys” going on sale Aug. 29.

In conjunction with the production, the Park Inn by Radisson will be hosting a 1950s-style event in advance of the presentation.

Provided will be a fun night of dinner, music and much more. Details will be released by the Park Inn by Radisson later this summer on its Facebook page.
