Penn Run community center once served as school
Penn Run High School is shown here in 1938, when the centennial of Penn Run was being celebrated.
This school was built in 1930 and was the last three-year high school in Indiana County. To graduate, you had to finish your fourth year at Heilwood, Clymer or Indiana High School.
On June 8, 1983, this building was dedicated as the Cherryhill Township Community Center and Park and Recreation facility, according to Indiana County historian John Busovicki, of Clymer, who submitted this photo.
