On Friday, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the new Crimson Cafe on the IUP campus, which will be open to students on Monday. Shown are IUP President Michael Driscoll and Dave Vandenberg, Regional VP ARAMARK. Read the full story on the new dining facility here.
On Thursday, incoming freshman Carly Bosek, of Pittsburgh, and her mother, Diane, and IUP Movers Victoria Sterling, sophomore, and Stephanie Wagner, sophomore, all moved Brosek's belongings in to her suite on IUP Freshman Move In day.
And, the Indiana High School marching band performed on North Sixth Street in Indiana.
HISTORIC FIGURES: Mahatma Gandhi, Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King Jr., Susan B. Anthony, Nelson Mandela and Thomas Jefferson will appear on a mural being painted by Hayley Geary at the Disobedient Spirits craft distillery in Homer City. Geary, an art student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, also is a part-time graphic designer in the composing department at The Indiana Gazette. (James J. Nestor/Gazette)
