On Monday, Tammy Gillespie, of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania maintenance department, applied a fresh coat of paint Thursday to lines in the parking lot between the Eberly College of Business and George P. Miller Stadium on campus.

Later Monday evening, a rainbow could be spotted over Indiana, as shown in the photo, and Gazette readers submitted their own shots of the rainbow on our Facebook page.

Rain or shine, the grass still needs mowing at Indiana County’s parks. Joe Mock is shown taking care of a grassy bank at Blue Spruce Park near Ernest as other workers beautified the areas around some of the covered bridges. See a full weather forecast here.

Paige Cessna, 4, filled the moat in her sand castle Thursday while enjoying a day at the beach area at Yellow Creek State Park near Penn Run. She is the daughter of Shane and Bethany Cessna, of Indiana.

Out to Munch: Participants in the 13th annual Taste & Tour strolled along North Seventh Street during the event Thursday, which offered samples from Indiana restaurants. See a full gallery of the photos here.
