Customers of Indiana County Municipal Services Authority’s Crooked Creek water treatment system should continue to boil water for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and food preparation, officials announced Wednesday.

The authority completed work on the filtration system on Monday and Tuesday, and water samples taken Wednesday now are being analyzed by Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for approval, according to the ICMSA website.

The authority issued the boil-water notice Friday in response to the discovery of problems with two of the four main filtering systems at the Crooked Creek plant.
