The Indiana Garden Club, a member of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania District VI, annually awards a minimum of one $500 scholarship from the Julia Pound Scholarship Fund for students entering college or graduate school with a major of ecology, horticulture, landscape design, landscape architecture, conservation, botany, forestry, agriculture or earth sciences.
The student must be a resident of Indiana County. A scholarship application must be completed, including an official transcript and a letter of recommendation.

The Evergreen Garden Club of Indiana is offering two $1,000 college scholarships for the 2013-14 school year. Applicants must be Indiana County residents who are graduates of an Indiana County high school. Applicants must have demonstrated an interest in gardening and be majoring in a garden-related subject such as ecology, horticulture, landscape design, landscape architecture, botany, agriculture or earth sciences.
The Evergreen Garden Club Scholarship Program was started in 2006 as a tribute and memoriam to Jane Henry Dole, founder, twice president and longtime leader of the Evergreen Garden Club.
College students and graduating high school students seeking funding for their education in listed or related majors are urged to obtain scholarship application forms from their high school guidance counselors or Evergreen scholarship chairwoman Carla Eichman, 308 Hans Road, Clarksburg, PA 15725. Completed applications and supporting documents must be mailed to the above address and postmarked by May 1.
