The Homer City Kiwanis club held its annual Senior of the Month dinner April 13 at the Homer City Presbyterian Church.
Helen Bencic, treasurer, welcomed all of the students, parents, guests and members to the dinner. The Rev. Dr. Ann Miner from the Presbyterian Church gave the invocation.
After a delicious dinner, introductions of Dr. Vincent Delconte, superintendent, and Mr. Jody Rainey, principal, of the Homer-Center Senior High School were called upon to say a few words to the gathering.

The other students were given $50 each.
The scholarships were given in honor of Ernest LoPresti, a longtime member of the club who died recently.
The Homer City VFW also donated money to the church to give to the students.
After the presentation, the group saluted the flag and the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting will be April 26. Joe Arone will be the speaker on gardening. It will be held at the American Legion in Homer City.
