Springtober Fest planned for April 22

by The Indiana Gazette on March 19, 2017 12:58 AM

Why wait until October?

The first ever Springtober Fest will be held April 22 at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.

More than 60 beers will be offered from a number of local and regional brewers, including Levity and Noble Stein, which are both based in White Township.

Hosted by the Indiana Printing and Publishing Company, which publishes The Indiana Gazette, the event will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. with a VIP hour from 2 to 3 p.m. that includes food and exclusive beer offerings.

Cost for general admission is $35 in advance and $40 at the door. VIP tickets cost $70 and will be sold in advance only. Tickets are on sale now on the KCAC website or at the complex’s box office.

For an extra $5, a designated driver will be offered for general admission ticket holders.

Participants must be at least 21 years old.

“We understand our readership has evolved over the years, and so must we. The first Springtober Fest is our foray into the event management/marketing arena,” said Matt Jackson, general manager of Gazette Printers, a division of IPP. “We researched other news organizations, similar to ours in size, that also hosted comparable events. We liked what we saw and heard, and believe we have the manpower and marketing pull to make this happen.

“As the leader within Indiana County in terms of news and being able to reach readers, we have the ability to promote this event as much as we deem necessary. Because of this, we are confident that while our first year will be a learning experience for sure, we will succeed long-term in hosting this event at the KCAC each spring.”
