Workers from Townsend Tree Service cut down a group of large pine trees Wednesday to make way for REA Energy power lines along Route 259 near Yellow Creek State Park.

These tall pines, which had been cut repeatedly over the years, were recently featured in a snowy photo in the Gazette on March 26.

In the bucket is Perry Anderson.
