Two charged after Indiana stabbing
An Indiana man has been jailed on charges that he stabbed another man during an argument early Friday morning at the Brown Hotel.
According to Indiana Borough police, Nestor Nshimiyimana, 27, of Indiana, is facing counts of aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and criminal trespass.
Police said Nshimiyimana got into an argument with Brock Wilder, 33, of Columbus, Ohio, and stabbed him around 4:53 a.m. at the South Sixth Street hotel and apartment complex, where Nshimiyimana lives. Wilder suffered minor injuries, police said.
Both men were taken into custody. Police said Wilder was found to be in possession of heroin and crack cocaine. He was charged with three counts each of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Wilder and Nshimiyimana were arraigned Friday before District Judge Susanne Steffee and placed in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bonds.
