Workers cleared dirt away to make room for a bridge abutment that will carry the new bridge on Old Route 119 across the Two Lick Creek near the Lindy Paving plant.

The $2.2 million project is being handled by Gulisek Construction, of Mount Pleasant. Traffic has been detoured around the project since March.

The bridge should be back in operation by mid-October, according to PennDOT.
