Booster club dedicates field

The Homer City Area Athletic Booster Club, in conjunction with Pirates Charities Fields for Kids, held a dedication for its renovated baseball field at the FMC Complex.

The boosters raised more than $5,000, and Pirates Charities matched that figure. The field will be used mainly for girls’ softball and coach-pitch and tee-ball baseball teams.

Pictured are, from left, Mike Saiani, Homer City boosters treasurer and baseball commissioner; Brian Sardone, parent volunteer; and Dave Smyers, of the Center Township board of supervisors.
