Youth field day slated Aug. 11 :: SHELOCTA -- The Indiana County Sportsmen for Youth will hold a Youth Field Day on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Shelocta Sportsmen's Club.
The event is open to children between the ages of 10 and 16 and includes black powder, .22 rifle shooting, clay bird shooting, turkey patterning, canoeing, archery, fly tying, black Lab and beagle handling, first aid and trapping.

Clubs schedule 3-D shoots
ATWOOD -- The Keystone Sportsmen Club will hold 3-D shoots July 29, Aug. 26 and Sept. 23. Registration will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

DAYTON -- The Dayton Sportsmen Club will hold 3-D archery shoots on Aug. 19 and Sept. 9.
The cost is $8 per person. Shooters 16 and younger shoot free. Registration is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

SALTSBURG -- The Saltsburg Sportsman's Club holds a 3-D shoot the first Sunday of each month through September.
Registration is from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for youths. Cubs shoot free.

Two Lick club slates shotgun shoot
CHERRY TREE -- The Two Lick Valley Rod and Gun Club will hold a shotgun shoot on Sunday, Aug. 19.
Registration will be held at noon, and the shoot will begin at 1 p.m.

Bow and gun club holds cowboy shoots
SHELOCTA -- The Indiana County Bow and Gun Club will hold Cowboy Action Shoots on Aug. 26, Sept. 23 and Oct. 28.
Registration is from 9 to 10 a.m., with a mandatory safety meeting at 10.
The fee is $15.
