Gill scored seven of United’s 23 points in the second quarter to help the Lions build a 14-point halftime lead, 39-25.
“We used our press to force them into a lot of mistakes in the first half, and we converted those turnovers with a bunch of layups,” United coach Tyler Stokes said.
Weylon McGeary chipped in 13 points, seven rebounds and four assists for United. Jake Beacker added 10 points, four assists and four steals, and Caleb McAdoo had eight points, five blocks, four steals and a season-high 11 rebounds.
Joe Olish scored 10 points to pace Northern Cambria.

“Taylor really sparked us and helped us build that second-half lead by hitting those two big 3s,” Purchase Line coach Steve Woodrow said. “Give Penns Manor credit, though. They only had nine players, and they came out and played hard until the end.”

Gavin Grimaldi scored 12 points for Penns Manor, and J.T. Horwat chipped in 10 points.

BLAIRSVILLE 66, SALTSBURG 45: Blairsville baffled host Saltsburg early with its full-court press and jumped out to a 24-point halftime lead en route to a win in a Heritage Conference game.
“Their full-court press just got to us,” Saltsburg coach Don Stitt Jr said. “All year we’ve been struggling against the press, and tonight we just made too many key turnovers.”
Blairsville’s Colton McMillan led all scorers with 19 points. Rahdezz Henderson added 13 points, and Jaylin Rydbom had 10 points.
Nick Porter, Ian Satler and Steve Richards scored nine points apiece for Saltsburg.

In the absence of the Wolves’ leading scorer, injured point guard Zane Clowser, guards Zac Horner and Ryan Dean each stepped up and posted career highs in points with 22 and 13, respectively. Dean added six rebounds, and Jake Hough tacked on nine points, seven assists, six steals and five rebounds.
