HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Indiana 28, Knoch 7

Needing two wins to guarantee itself a WPIAL Class AAA playoff berth, Indiana got half the job done Friday when the Indians rolled to a win over Knoch in a Greater Allegheny Conference game at Andy Kuzneski Field.

The second half of the job comes next Friday night, when the Indians (3-5 overall, 3-4 conference) visit Hollidaysburg (3-5, 3-4).

Sean Thompson (19 yards), DeQuan West (14), Ian Scott (41) and Jordan Casses (14) had rushing touchdowns for the Indians, and Scott booted four extra points.

West ran for 97 yards on eight carries, and Scott totaled 92 yards on seven carries. Thompson passed for 94 yards. Riley Stapleton caught five passes for 57 yards.

Cody Milsom scored the Knights’ lone touchdown on a 4-yard run in the second quarter.
